As for the golf, the DHM team of Taylor, Pain, Demario and Gathercole finished second overall and came away with bragging rights over the many other local organisations who also supported the day.
For the second year running we were excited to partner with the organising committee of Mildura’s Biggest Ever Blokes BBQ in their support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. We sent along all the blokes in the office to enjoy a great BBQ feed, a few drinks and some quality banter.
They heard about Todd Russell’s story of survival being trapped 9km underground for two weeks in the Beaconsfield mine collapse, Cameron Mooney’s tale of going from not getting a touch in the 1999 AFL grand final to being a triple premiership player and stories of local prostate cancer survivors, from their diagnosis to how they managed their treatment and got on with the business of leading the lifestyle they desire.
